今年八月，暑气未消，我迎来了一段格外滚烫的成长——我以AISSU展华国际部学生的身份，代表新加坡，站上模拟联合国DISEC裁军委员会的舞台。
This August, before the summer heat had fully faded, I underwent a truly transformative experience. Representing Singapore as a student of the AISSU(ZH), I stepped onto the Model United Nations stage in the DISEC (Disarmament and International Security) Committee.
围绕“防止外太空军备竞赛”与“规范致命自主武器系统”两项前沿议题，我与各国代表激辩交锋、斡旋磋商，在立场文件的字斟句酌中锤炼思辨，在决议草案的反复推敲中感知责任。我收获**立场文件奖！
Tackling cutting-edge issues like the “Prevention of an Arms Race in Outer Space” and the “Regulation of Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems,” I engaged in fierce debates and diplomatic negotiations with delegates from around the globe. Carefully wording my position paper sharpened my critical thinking, and the rigorous process of drafting resolutions made me acutely aware of our global responsibilities. Ultimately, I was thrilled to be awarded the Best Position Paper!
回望这段旅程，心中满是沉甸甸的收获，亦有道不尽的感恩——感谢师长倾囊相授，感谢队友并肩作战，也感谢那个在深夜改稿时不曾放弃的自己。这场模拟外交的初试锋芒，为我打开了一扇望向更广阔世界的窗。
Looking back on this journey, I am filled with a deep sense of accomplishment and endless gratitude. I am thankful for the tireless guidance of my teachers, the solidarity of my teammates, and my own perseverance during those late-night revisions. This first taste of mock diplomacy has truly opened my eyes to a much broader world.
赛前，我严格遵照赛制，系统研读国际公约与各国立场，反复打磨立场文件。模联突破课堂思维，要求以国家立场全面审视全球性安全议题。备赛过程锤炼了我的信息整合、逻辑思辨与独立写作能力，也助我拓宽国际视野，深刻体悟和平发展与多边共治之道。
Before the conference, I closely followed the rules of procedure, systematically studying international conventions and the specific stances of various nations to polish my position paper. MUN goes beyond standard classroom learning; it challenges you to comprehensively evaluate global security issues from a specific national perspective. The preparation process not only improved my ability to synthesize information, think critically, and write independently, but it also broadened my international outlook, giving me a much deeper understanding of peaceful development and multilateral governance.
正式赛场上，各国代表观点多元，立场各异。围绕防止外太空军备竞赛、智能武器伦理争议等复杂议题，我立足新加坡中立包容的立场，主动参与动议发言，积极沟通，清晰阐明对裁军、太空和平利用及武器规范化管控的主张。
During the actual conference, the delegates presented a wide array of viewpoints and conflicting stances. Facing complex topics like the space arms race and the ethical dilemmas of AI-driven weaponry, I anchored my arguments in Singapore’s neutral and inclusive foreign policy. I actively proposed motions, engaged in dialogues, and clearly articulated my views on disarmament, the peaceful use of space, and the standardized regulation of weapons.
在与各方代表的辩论与协作中，我学会倾听与包容差异，这不仅极大地锻炼了我的公众表达能力与临场应变能力，更让我深刻体会到国际谈判中理性、克制与沟通协作的重要性，让我在思维碰撞中快速成长。
Debating and collaborating with other delegates taught me the immense value of listening and respecting our differences. This experience dramatically improved my public speaking and my ability to think on my feet. More importantly, it showed me that reason, restraint, and cooperation are the fundamental cornerstones of international negotiation, allowing me to grow rapidly through these intellectual clashes.

我尤其要衷心感谢我的数学老师Mary。严谨的数理逻辑与条理化的思维方式，是我完成高质量立场文件不可或缺的底气。在日常课堂中，Mary老师通过一次次定理推导、证明演练与解题梳理，潜移默化地训练我如何抽丝剥茧、层层递进地分析问题。这种训练让我在面对复杂的国际议题时，能够迅速剥离表象，将庞杂的信息有序组织起来。
I want to extend a special thank you to my math teacher, Mary. The rigorous mathematical logic and structured thinking she taught me gave me the foundational confidence to write a high-quality position paper. In her daily classes, through continuous theorem derivations, proofs, and problem-solving exercises, Mary subtly trained me to peel back layers of complexity and analyze problems in a step-by-step manner. This training enabled me to quickly cut through the surface of complex international issues and organize chaotic information in a highly logical way.

It is no exaggeration to say that Mary taught me to view the world through rational “mathematical eyes,” laying a solid foundation for my award.
同时，我还要感谢我的班主任Yeevia老师。备赛期间，学业压力与竞赛任务几乎将我每日的时间撕成两半——白天上课、完成作业，晚上查阅资料、打磨立场文件，常常忙到深夜。是Yeevia老师敏锐地察觉到了我的焦虑与疲惫，多次在课后找我谈心，耐心听我倾诉。
I also want to thank my homeroom teacher, Yeevia. During my preparation, the dual demands of my academic coursework and competition prep nearly split my days in two. I spent my days attending classes and finishing homework, and my nights researching and refining my position paper, often working late into the night. Yeevia quickly noticed my anxiety and exhaustion. She took the time to talk with me after class on several occasions, patiently listening to my struggles.

正是这份温暖而坚定的陪伴，让我在高压中从容调整节奏，将慌乱化为笃定。最终，在发言席上清晰陈词、冷静应对，自信而从容，这便是AISSU学子的风采！

It was her warm, unwavering support that helped me adjust my pace under immense pressure, turning my panic into calm determination. Ultimately, I was able to articulate my points clearly and handle questions confidently at the speaker's podium—displaying the true spirit of an AISSU student!
每一份收获都离不开AISSU这片沃土的滋养。学校为我们提供了放眼世界的平台，老师以学识与温情为我点亮前路，同伴的并肩让奋斗的日夜充满力量。荣誉不过是成长路上的注脚，真正的收获，是根植于心的思辨习惯、敢于担当的勇气，以及始终谦逊、始终向前的姿态。
Every achievement is nurtured by the fertile soil of AISSU. The school provides us with a global platform, the teachers light our way with their knowledge and warmth, and our peers give us the strength to push through the long days and nights of hard work. The awards are merely footnotes on this journey of growth; the true harvest lies in the critical thinking habits deeply ingrained in me, the courage to take on responsibility, and the attitude of always remaining humble and moving forward.
